Academic Quality Controller (Lower School Head)
Job Purpose:
Ensuring that the academics results as well as the SABIS® teaching methodology is being applied to the utmost standards as per SABIS® requirements. As well as communicating with parents to keeping them informed, updated on the progress of their children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting classroom observation on a daily basis to ensure that the SABIS® point system as well as classroom management techniques are being applied as well as providing useful feedback through meetings and written feedback to the teachers on their performance
- Meeting with Subject coordinators to check the updated results of students in order to develop a documented action plan for the failing students
- Preparing exams schedules and/or study list(s) term by term so that students are aware of the exams and the materials needed ahead of time.
- Analyzing student results on a regular basis through various academic reports such as but not limited to SSMS Tracker, AMS 014, AMS050 etc. and student history files.
- Monitoring the performance of the assigned shadow teacher to ensure that they are using and following the SABIS® point system and teaching methodologies
- Coordinating with the assigned regional center to ensure that the choice of subjects complies with government requirements, external exam requirements and university admissions.
- Conducting regular spot checks on student’s workbooks, copybooks and diaries to ensure that teaches are using the point system teaching methodology.
- Assigning teachers at the beginning of the year for the different classes in order to make sure we have the most suitable teacher in each section
- Developing the seating plan as per the SABIS® requirement to ensure a proper implementation of the SABIS® teaching methodology.
- Playing an active role during the teacher training program if and when needed.
- Following up and attending the teacher training program in order to get an understanding of the quality of new recruits into the system.
- Preparing letters to be sent to parents regarding academic and behavioral issues in order to clarify the points in each of these policies.
- Meeting and/or contacting parents of academically weak students to inform them about their child’s performance and putting together relevant action plans in place if needed.
- Documenting the minutes of meeting with parents onto the yellow book of the students.
- Organizing academic support sessions for the academically weak students in order to improve their performance.
- Meeting with academically weak students to set up an improvement plan to increase their performance.
- Conducting the performance appraisals of the teachers in coordination with the Head of departments/ subject coordinators in order to assess their performance.
- Acting as a mentor and/or role model with all teachers and students within their supervision.
- Continuously following up on the progress of students on a termly basis by entering the academic comments on the end of term reports to inform parents about actions that will be taken.
- Meeting with the student management coordinator to follow up on the action plans taken in order to improve the behavioral situations of the students.
- Coordinating with the student life coordinator the academic support sessions that took place to ensure that it was efficient and effective.
- Ensuring that all teachers under their supervision are submitting the lessons plans in a timely manner.
- Performing such other related tasks or projects as they arise and as delegated by the SABIS® management
Ideal Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in a related subject matter and/or equivalent; Masters is a plus
- Teaching Certificate is a plus
- English & French proficient
- MS Office needed components

Admissions Officer
Job Purpose:
Organizing, coordinating, and following up on all of the administrative activities and procedures that facilitate the smooth operation of student admission to the school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handling the enquiry form, statistics, and follow-up.
- Compiling the introductory folder.
- Promoting the system through different formats of presentations and school tours.
- Making sure the Application folder is completed by the parents.
- Administering diagnostic exams for all grades and interviewing students for the Infant Department (Online option is available).
- Making sure that exams are marked and, if applicable, following up on results.
- Learning how to use the Optical Character Recognition (OCR) for marking multiple-choice exams.
- Issuing acceptance notes for all newly accepted students in coordination with the School Business Office.
- Updating computer registration and re-registration files.
- Preparing a weekly comprehensive summary report during the registration period, and a bi-weekly report to be shared with School Head of Admissions.
- Alerting the IT Department, Business Office, Library, and School Director when students withdraw from the school.
- Preparing letters, E-mails, and communications related to prospective parents and transfer students.
- Handling all kinds of communications for prospective parents and parents of transfer students.
- Hosting diagnostic exams for other SABIS® schools when requested.
- Coordinating with the Director and Summer School Coordinator in helping students and parents to register for the Summer School.
- Issuing school transcripts to students as needed.
- Assisting in the preparation of all formal documents required for High School Graduation.
- Showing willingness to participate in all professional development training as needed.
- Completing all students’ files with all required documents as per the Ministry of Education requirements.
- Learning to use the several applicable components of the SSMS computer system.
Ideal Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Human Resources, Mass Communication, and/or equivalent
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in the field
- English Proficient, and Local language is a must

Receptionist
Job Purpose:
Ensuring that all incoming and outgoing telephone calls are handled in an efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greeting all incoming students, families, and guests respectfully and professionally.
- Answering phone calls in a professional, pleasant, informed manner for the purpose of providing information and creating a good image of the school.
- Accompanying new parents on the school tour and informing them of the facilities and features of the SABIS® Educational System™.
- Assisting the Admission Officer/ Office Manager in providing support to new parents to complete the documentation, explain the system, school policies, rules and regulations, etc.
- Arranging with SLO® for the new parent orientation and school tour.
- Assisting in interviewing students for new admission to KG 1, KG2 & Grade 1 classes. (if and when needed)
- Booking appointments for parents with AQCs and preparing relevant documents and information in advance (including student’s profile, infractions, and exam results) whenever an AQC assistant is not available.
- Receiving parent inquiries (KG1 to Grade 13), transferring them to person in charge, and following up with AQCs, Head Supervisor, and Office Manager.
- Assisting in student registration paperwork, procedures, and follow up.
- Keeping record for any announcement and schedules for all school activities (SLO® & P.E.) and sharing them with parents and being able to answer their queries precisely.
- Developing a positive, welcoming, and caring environment in the Front Office.
